Hostile Architecture in NYC Infographic
In collaboration with Amy Zhou, we put together a infographic different forms of hostile architecture implemented by the New York City government under Eric Adams as well as private developers who wish to push the homeless out of public spaces. This comes as a response to the cities act to dehumanize the homeless and jail them instead of building shelters in Manhattan and Brooklyn where homeless numbers are highest. This lack of shelters in the boroughs is a part of an agenda against the homeless which reflects classism and gentrification.
